and one more.. the white background ofthe image..
try and make it somewhat like a box.. here is an example

please ignore all the text and the topleft corner, I made these for a different forum, that is not closed. the part that I want you to look at is the way the white goes to the black. it's not all one color. try and make those ranks images less blahh, and more poppy. =P

if you want, I can make you guys some rank images with that base image above, and change the colors, and all the text if you would like.
